Spring is in the air! The fresh and brand new atmosphere brings people joy. This is how we feel about spring. However, situation has changed due to global warming. There has been no rain in southern Taiwan this spring, which results in severe water scarcity. Plants lost their vitality! It is so sad that flowers don’t bloom properly in spring. I hope the flowers on my work can bring people hope and blessings!
Materials: Japanese antique fabrics, silk, satin, dyes fabrics, Japanese kimono fabrics, metallic thread, chiffon, lace
Techniques: hand stitched, hand pieced, hand appliqué, hand quilted

I think you have captured the vibrance of spring very nicely. i like the use of the double needle, very effective.
Lin there is such a spring atmophere and harmony in this piece ! I like all these flowers in full bloom ! it is a very positive representation of spring.
I can feel the essence of Spring with your interpretation of the flowers and what a great idea to use Japanese fabrics for the leaves to remind you of your travels. Well done
Thank you Caro, Chantal and Kaylene. I am happy with the theme that I have chosen. I have been enjoying creating my Journey series so far. Playing with the fabrics that I collected when traveling always reminds me the happy memories! I am glad to have the opportunity to create them and share with you all.
