Bella Kaplan – Artist style #6

As before, I continue with Georgia O’keeffe and am happy that this is the last one.  I have to admit that it was not an easy project. To deal with the same flower from a different point of view each time was very challenging. I tried to renew my view each time in the hope that it works.

Materials: cotton fabric, hand dying, fused, machine quilted

You have done well to create a series using the same flower, and this is a beautiful end to that series. I love the colours that you have used, and your stitching gives added detail that is immaculate.

  13. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the quilts in this series. I’m sure it was tedious at times, trying to differently interpret the same image each time, but you have done a great job. The colors here truly make the image glow and come alive.
