Diana Vincent – Progress – The Flowering Plum

The Flowering Plum

In my front yard I have a flowering plum tree. I love to follow the progress of this tree as it moves from grey bud to brilliant white blossom, and then green leaf. Finally it turns into all it’s glorious autumn colours. It lays barren all over winter and then the whole progress starts again.

Hand dyed cotton background printed with Lumiere paints. Dyed cotton scrim. Commercial silks and crystal organza. Flaked metal leaf.
