Kaylene Maalste – Artist style #6

Inspiration – Franz Marc’s 1911 painting “Fox”. I interpreted the painting as a fox sleeping by a river or lake surrounded by trees.

Apart from the lake the fabrics are Batik, the lake is hand dyed cotton. The quilt is hand quilted using embroidery thread.
