Helen Hazon – When East Meets West – Kamon Star

For this quilt I have used a traditional Western-style pieced star block as the background but in bright,  Indian colours. I quilted the triangular parts of the star with straight lines then I stitched Japanese kamon designs in the open squares. All fabrics and threads are cotton.
