Greetje Hein – Series #2 – Techniques – Pansy #2
This second piece of my Pansy’s has a background made in a similar way as my first piece.
For my pansies I used a technique I learned from Elsbeth Nusser Lampe. The pansies are made with the top sheer of paper napkins. It is fused to the background and quilted with rayon yarn.
The Tyvek piece in the left bottom part I made during a workshop with Jacky Howard. I did this workshop together with Els and Kaylene.
The two lace pieces I used as a template first and after that I stitched the original pieces on my quilt.
I also used variegated yarn for my quilting and embellished my quilt with beads.

What attention to detail! I like the way the colours have followed through from the first piece. Lovely work!
It is a very nice piece and as for the first one I like your choice oF colours. The use of several techniques is interesting, especially hoU you used the lace to print with and then as an appliqué piece.
Just love how by taking the pansy you have created a new and interesting quilt to compliment the first. The colours are a delight, the addition of the different panels adds interest and variety. Well done
