Kaylene Maalste – Time #4
My fourth time quilt is based on the Norse rune symbol – the Web of Wyrd that symbolizes our past, present and future lives. The web us said to be made by the Nornir – weavers of destiny. The nine interconnected staves (lines) represent how the past, present, and future are interwoven.
Materials used for the background and staves are 100% cotton and embroidery thread for the hand stitching.

I am still in awe how the use of polka dot fabric and hand stitching creates this wonderful texture. My eyes follow those lines and want to understand how the past, present, and future work together. Very interesting and a really good job.
This is striking, your hand stitching is wonderful as are the colour choices. Great subject choice and I love it!
Despite its apparent simplicity this piece is a strong one ! Your heavy stitching on the polka dot fabric and the contrasting colors work well together.
Very beautiful hand stitching. Although the symbol itself is simple, it forms a nice and eye-catching pattern.
your hand stitching is wonderful as are the colour choices. I love hand stitching because I am very far from it. beautiful work.
This is triumph of simple design and hand stitching. I like the colours of the fabric and threads that work do well together
