Bozena Wojtaszek – Time #4

Adulthood

Finally we are big enough to know the rules and to take control. We hope that time will work for us. We make plans and projects for upcoming years. We set tone for today, future belongs to us and the past is simply boring (unless it is useful). We are in full bloom and we hope it will last forever…

Machine quilting and hand beading on the pieced and slightly dyed background.

  1. Using doily as the main design element is very interesting. I love your background too with some very interesting fabrics and textures created with stitches and bead. Bravo!

  2. I am looking forward to reading your story each time you post a quilt of your series. I like how you have constructed the all series and how you link them with embroidery and beading.

  3. Another piece in the series that speaks to me. Love all the details, all the nice stitching, the beads – and the story behind.

  4. This is another great addition to your series, I love the way you have continued the lace of the doily with hand stitch. The stronger colours and details add to the success of the story.

  5. Striking design and use of materials. I cannot wait to see the whole series to appreciate you interpretation of time.

  6. Your use of materials is very interesting and the hand stitching is very interesting against the diverse background.

I love the way that your series is progressing. The colours and hand stitching are wonderful and the growth of the central motif is great way to show the progress of time.

  8. This piece beautifully captures the vibrant energy of being in ‘full bloom’ and taking absolute control of our own timeline. Lovely stitching and beading and a beautiful continuation on the journey of growing up.
