I was born in 1968 in Madison, Wisconsin, USA of Belgian and Mexican parents and raised in Arlon, Belgium where I was introduced to knitting at the age of five and started spinning wool at the age of nine. After studying in Mexico City and in Brussels, Belgium I moved to the US in 1989. I have worked as a costume designer and seamstress for the Classical Ballet Theatre, in Virginia, the Alabama School of Fine Art, the Birmingham Ballet and the Alabama Youth Ballet in Alabama. In 2006 I ventured into the world of quilting in order to recycle scraps of fabric from ballet costumes. In 2009  I studied drawing and Intaglio Print Making at the Drawing Studio in Tucson, AZ. I have created a brand of Handspun Yarn under the brand name Ciboulette.
