For my 3th couple I wanted to zoom in and do a leaf.
I did the modern version first, because I need a picture of an autumn leaf for the real version. This picture I can take in a few weeks.
I used a hand dyed fabric as part of the background and strips of different fabrics for the striped part.
The whole piece is machine quilted. Mostly with rulers, partly free-motion.
