About
Fifteen by Fifteen is a group of like-minded textile artists from various places throughout the world, we have come together to participate in an art quilt challenge. Our artistic styles vary, but we share a love of art quilting, the desire to learn and experiment, and most importantly share and grow. Every 8 weeks members will make a 15 x 15 inch quilt based on colour play or a theme. The results will be displayed in the Artists Gallery.Members

Well done cubistic cat and vry Franz Marc!
“very”
It is definitely a cubist ginger cat ! what a sense of humour !
I love this cat lurking in the undergrowth, beautifully constructed with a great choice of fabrics. Lovely work.
I love the background fabric, it gives a lot of movement to the piece and to the cubist cat. Great choice of colour and very effective quilting. Bravo
I love how you stay with the same subject and how you find different ways to approach it still staying within the style of the same artist. Well done!
The cat is very beautiful and performed in a cubist method against an interesting background.
well done.
Very Franz Marc-like. The ginger cat in cubist style is quite adorable and the swirling background gives movement to the piece. Well done.
I like the cat, but I really love the way you quilted this piece. Just straight lines, following the shapes of the cat. Bravo!
Cubism. So simple in its definition, yet so hard to pin down in an image. But you have accomplished this so well! Am I correct in assuming this is paper-pieced!
Hi Ann, it is not paper pieced, I drew out the shape on my foundation material, and sewed the different fabrics down, then the background fabric and finally the head which is a separate shape on top. Cheers
What a bright and cheerful cat! The colours are great and he sits so well on the green background.
I love how you constructed your cubist style cat. Lovely colours on a very nice background. So nice to see how you use Franz Marc’s different styles for just one subject.
What a great interpretation. Your color choices and techniques are spot on, It looks as though your sweet little cubist cat is hiding in a garden. Well done!
I like your cubist cat and the way he is sitting comfortably on the background fabric (just like a cat would). The colours and stitching are perfect. Well done
