After many years of doing wild things with wild colors, I’m moving – for now – to a calmer palette.  I’ve  been enjoying the local scenery in my new home.  North Carolina presents a more subtle winter look than winter in New England does, and perhaps my color migration is responding to that gentler tone.  I’ve always been fascinated by texture and pattern, which become more prominent when color retreats.  “Rhythm” as a theme seemed to be the perfect setting for an exploration of subtle pattern overlaid on subtle color.
