The world of silence
The theme chosen for my 3rd pair of nature-inspired quilts is water.
Two aspects will be evoked: underwater first and then on water.
This quilt is inspired by the ocean, from its colors but also from its seabed. It’s a free, poetic representation of the flora and fauna of a world that looks calm on the surface… I wanted to recreate an ideal image.
I used mostly dyed fabrics and a few batiks. Corals, sea anemones, seaweeds and fishes are block printed or stencilled.
The quilt is entirely machine quilted.
