Around the table
My idea for the Book theme is to go down the memory lane through my favorite books about food in a very broad meaning. I’m starting with Silvia Malaguzzi’s “Food and Feasting in Art”. This book, beautifully illustrated with masterpieces of western art, explores the rituals, customs, and symbolism of food and dining through the history. The title for Polish edition is “Around the table” which perfectly fits for my starting piece in this series.

I love the way that you have set the table, and set the scene, for this piece. The colours give the impression of a clean and neat dining room, just ready for a meal to be served. Your stitching is really well worked and I am very keen to see the next in your series on food
