Ann Turley – Nature #6

Tomatoes

Quilt #6 finishes up the Nature series and is a companion to Peas, #5. I’ve chosen to portray this vine fruit as having been picked and prepared to consume. It is composed of mainly hand dyed fabrics combined with novelty organza and commercial cottons. The quilt motif is tiny tomatoes, done freehand. The background is a few strips of leftovers that played well with what I already had.
