Pendulum Clock
Over the years, several improvements were made to the mechanical clock, making it increasingly accurate. In 1657, the Dutch inventor Christiaan Huygens was granted a patent for a new invention: the pendulum clock.
By ensuring that the hands were regulated by a pendulum moving back and forth, the clock continued to run evenly.
To prevent the pendulum from running out of momentum after just a few minutes, it must be given a gentle nudge every so often. The oldest pendulum clocks used a weight as their power source (which had to be pulled back up after a certain amount of time). Later clocks were often powered by a coiled spring, which had to be rewound regularly.
A pendulum clock requires precise adjustment of the pendulum; otherwise, the clock will run too fast or too slow. The swing period of the ideal pendulum is determined by the length of the pendulum arm.
Most clockworks have a pendulum with a weight whose; height can be adjusted with a screw. If the clock is running slow, the pendulum is shortened, if the clock is running fast, the weight must be lowered.
Once again, I used only old jeans for this project.

I love watching the development the history of the clock but most of allI love the materials you use. You are very creative and come up with ideas of using metal details from jeans. Wonderful!
A great addition to your series. I like the way that you are using the full potential of the denim. Great work!
The interesting part of your series is the researches you made on history of clocks and their evolution. I like the use of jeans. Well done !
I can hear the clock ticking!
I love the way you reuse old jeans. I especially like the detail where you have cut out the back pocket.
Very cool!
Wow such attention to detail in your design and narrative. I love pendulum clocks. Well done.
I have an antique pendulum clock at home from the 19th century that came to me with relatives who survived the Holocaust. Your work is beautiful, the choice of jeans is excellent.
I love the way that you have used jeans to create the continuing story of time. This clock is moving us forward through time and is b beautifully depicted. I really like the details and stitching you have added
I remember these clocks from when I was young. Love all the details you added and of course the use of denim. Your background quilting is very nice too. Such a beautiful addition to your series. Bravo.
