Bozena Wojtaszek – Book #4

The time has come for another important in my culinary readings cuisine – Italian. So my Book #4 is “Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well” by Pellegrino Artusi. His cookbook was the first to combine recipes from different parts of Italy in the name of a shared tradition and is still considered as a “Bible of Italian food”. In this piece I went for the basics – pasta, parmesan and tomato sauce. Buon appetito!

Commercial cottons and linens, machine quilting, hand applique, hand embroidery, beading.

  1. Love it!The colours and textures work so well, especially the plate of spaghetti! Well done.

  2. Yes, Pellegrino Artusi is the bible for the italian cooking with the other well knowed ” Cucchiao d’argento”. You continue perfectly your kitchenbooks series.I like your spaghetti. Well done!

  7. Love how you incorporate the 3D elements in your composition and how you continue the stitched words framing the quilt. Another fun and appetizing interpretation of the book. Well done.

  8. Wonderful, you can almost taste the items you ave depicted. The hand towels in the background place yo u mentally directly in the kitchen with the chef.
