Bella Kaplan – Book #4

I would like to add that the book The Song of Songs, which is one of the books in the Bible, is almost entirely composed and sung. Every sentence I describe in my work is also a song performed by singers in Israel. And the book is a love story between a man and a woman. Cotton fabric, eco printed by me, fuzzed, machine quilted, screen printed.

Detail view:

  1. I really like the way that you have used eco-printing as the base for this piece, lovely work well done!

  2. Great composition and design. The contrast between the spines and the ecoprint base is very effective. Well done!

I like how you used your own ecoprints as a background. It is very elegant and unique !

  4. I like your interpretation of the thorns by their placement, sometimes it is not easy to create balance in a square quilt, but I like the flow of the design.

I love your interpretation of the Song of Songs. The composition is superb, and your colours are so harmonious. Beautiful technique infused by lyrical softness. Beautiful!

  6. I like the contrast of the eco printed background and the strong flowers. Well done.

  7. Your eco print fabric is the perfect background that gives depth and dimension to the structure of the thorns. Lovely harmonious composition. Well done.

  8. Perfect choice of fabrics for the background. Images of roses and thorns to me hide the same magic what I find between the lines when reading poetry. Amazing!

  9. Your eco print created the perfect background for your story, it’s very niecley done.

A very simple but moving design that highlights your eco printing perfectly. Well done

  11. I love the eco printing as the background here. The design is perfect for the verse you have chosen.

  12. Lovely composition and colors. The ecoprint is superb and makes such a wonderful background for the bright roses.

  13. The ecoprint is such a good choice for this quilt. You created quite a contrast between the spiky thorns and the soft colors of the ecoprint. The composition is lovely and harmonious.
