Ann Turley – Book #4

Still working on portaying minor characters from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this is The Frog Footman. The Queen has extended an invitation to th Duchess to play croquet. Book #3 shows the Queen’s Fish Footman presenting the invitation to… the Frog Footman, this months’ quilt. The Frog Footman has recieved the invitation and has opened it to deliver it to the Duchess. I’ve used the broderie perse technique to place the frog in a garden full of flowers. Once again I’ve made a gel medium skin as I did with book#3 and attached it to tissue paper to create the banner. Materials used were commercial cottons and batiks, tissue paper and gel medium.
