Ann Turley – Horizon
Recently I drove through the central section of California, where a large majority of our crops are grown. It was late April when the growers were prepping their fields for the next rotation of crops. New sprouts were beginning to appear, new crops would soon make their presence known. In the far distance along the horizon line, I could see the large trees that marked the location of the farmers’ living quarters. The sky was bright and clear, the air clean and sweet. The scene spoke to me of the great expanse of land used to produce our food.
