Challenge – Gathering
Our second challenge is based on the theme “Gathering”. This theme was open to various interpretations and members have designed their quilts around many of the ideas that come to mind when using this word. Below are images of the quilts the group created to view the artist’s statement you can go to the Quilt Gallery and click on the thumbnail, or click on the image below
Challenge – Lines
Our first challenge is based on the theme “Lines”. According to the Getty Museum “line is an identifiable path created by a point moving in space. It is one-dimensional and can vary in width, direction, and length. Lines often define the edges of a form. Lines can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, straight or curved, thick or thin. They lead your eye around the composition and can communicate information through their character and direction.” Below are images of the quilts the group created to view the artist’s statement you can go to the Quilt Gallery and click on the thumbnail, or click on the artist’s name under the ARTIST GALLERY.
