Challenge – Decay #4
We are presenting the #4 quilts in our Decay series. By developing the chosen theme each artist shows that decay visibly demonstrates the impact of time on objects and structures.
We hope looking at the quilts will help you find beauty in the imperfections and irregularities that arise from decay. The intricate patterns and unique forms created by decomposition can be seen as aesthetically compelling aspects of the natural world.

Challenge – Inspired by books #5
Challenge – Nature #6
This is the last in our series of quilts inspired by nature. We agreed on making three series of two quilts, and the topic was simply nature. Every artist had their own choice of what story about nature that they were going to tell. Many artists chose the topic close to their homes and hearts. The variety of techniques and high quality of skills resulted in creating a wonderful gallery of work that we hope will entertain and captivate you. Please scroll through our ‘natural’ world by clicking on the small pictures below, which will take you to the page for each artist, showing more details of the quilt and the thoughts which have inspired it. Enjoy !
Challenge – Nature #2
Our second challenge of the year continues the nature theme, and will be the pair to the last challenge. This is a different way of working for us (as we often produce work in a series of six), so it should be interesting to see how each person decides to interpret each pair, and I am looking forward to the variation that this brings. We hope that you will also enjoy this wander through the natural world, and will take a closer look at the details and thought behind each quilt, by clicking on the small pictures below to take you to the dedicated page for that quilt.
