Elsy Menko – Book #4

The Bible – the Creation – day four

On day four two great lights were created: the greater – the sun – to rule over the day, and the lesser light – the moon – to rule over the night; and the stars. They were all set in the firmament of the heaven to divide the light from the darkness.
To see the sun and the moon at the same time they must be on the same side of the sphere of Earth. I have presented such a phase whereby half of the moon is lit by the sun while the other half is in darkness. I have added three stars in the dark part of the sky. As I do not like to have text take front stage I have hidden it. The translation of the Hebrew text is ’the two greater lights and the stars’.
