Ann Turley – Book #2
Pat and Bill are two minor characters introduced in chapter 4 of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. Pat the Gardener is asked by the Rabbit to rescue Alice from the too-small room. He proclaims that he is busy digging for apples but agrees to help free Alice. He summons Bill the lizard to fetch a ladder so as to enter the room through the chimney. As Bill drops down into the room, Alice sharply kicks him up and out of the chimney. (Alice eventually swallows more cake, shrinks back to normal size, and exits the room on her own.) My quilt is constructed from batiks, hand dyes, commercial cottons, chiffon, tulle, and muslin-backed paper. It is embellished with ink and colored pencil and is machine quilted.
