Challenge – Decay #2
Before making this post I explored how decay has been shown in art over time. Artists have always been drawn to the look and meaning of things falling apart. In the Renaissance, painters used ruins to show nature’s power. Later, during the Romantic period and into the 20th century, art and photography focused on aging bodies, worn-out carpets, rotting fruit, and abandoned buildings.
I’m excited to share Decay #2, where our group captures the breakdown of nature, buildings, fabrics, everyday objects, and even emotions.
