Genevieve Guadalupe – Decay #5

Fall is in the air.

I always welcome the sight of the Indian Summer, with it’s array of beautiful colours such as yellows, oranges and reds. The colourful leaves floating in the air and falling to the ground creating a beautiful carpet of colours. It is such an extravagant display of the beginning process of decay.

Materials and technique: repurposed cotton fabrics, tea bags, real leaves preserved, printmaking, cotton batting, poly thread, embroidery floss, cheese cloth. Intaglio and block printmaking, monoprints, preserving of leaves, machine pieced, machine quilted, hand embroidered.
