My quilt for ‘Gathering’ was inspired on an early misty morning walk. The cobwebs on the bushes were gathering all the moisture and turning them into dewdrops, it all looked so beautiful.

The background is two pieces of hand dyed fabric, with the dark one having some light printing on it. The web was machine stitched in metalic thread, and the drops are french knots in silk ribbon and crochet thread. A small amount of machine quilting was added. A piece of commercial yarn with bright loops was the perfect finish for the edge.
