Genevieve Guadalupe – Nature #1
In my first nature quilt we are going macro in the realm of the creatures of the Sonoran desert.
Materials and technique: cotton fabrics (commercial and hand dyed), cotton batting, poly thread. Machine pieced background, raw edge applique scorpion, machine quilted.
I love it! The use of colour in contrast to the scorpion adds menace to the creature. Great work!
Stunning, just detail in the stitching especially around all those applique pieces. A Double bravo.
A great selection of fabrics that make the scorpion stand out ! It really looks like it is going to move !
The simplicity of your design in both pattern and color is stunning.
I love the way that you have simplified the scorpion yet still it appears detailed and real. The background colours and your stitchingh are perfect. A lovely piece
