Bella Kaplan – Nature #2

Nature 2

My second challenge is also a flower in a blooming flower field at this time of year. When everything around us is in all possible colors, a refreshing sight.

Cotton fabrics, self-dyeing  fabric machine quilted.

  1. I am enjoying the abstract nature of the flower with the design and use of colour. Well done.

  2. Chantal Guillermet

your flowers are so evocative ! great choice of fabrics.

  3. carolinehiggs

Great choice of colour and shapes, lovely work.

  4. Your rendition of flowers is always stunning. Very well done, as usual!

  5. By only taking a detail of the flower you almost achieve an abstract piece. As always beautiful use of your hand dyed colours. Lovely quilting.

  6. Lovely abstract rendition of your flower. Stunning fabrics, all hand dyed I guess. Great stitching as well! Beautiful!

  7. Lovely bright colours and an interesting close up of your flower.

  8. studiociboulette

echoing your Georgia O’Keeffe series, I like your zooming into the subject. Beautiful colors and attention to details. Bravo!

  9. Lovely colors and beautiful stitching. I agree wit Els that this looks more like an abstract piece, or it is just me not understanding what part of flower it is. Still, I love it!

  10. Great and effective use of color in this macro view of your flower.

  11. joanbrailsford

I like the abstract way that you treat the flowers simply by using a close focus on its details. The stitching enhances it very well.

  12. The continuation of the same vibrant, hand dyed color palette unites your first 2 flower challenges. Lovely close up composition and stitching. Well done!

  13. The choice of colors is lovely! Great composition too.
    Well done.
