Bella Kaplan – Artist style #2

I continue with Georgia O’Keeffe  and continue to play with Hibiscus.

My second one is one leave, I kept the same  variety of colors.

My work is hand dyed fabric, fused, machine quilted.

Detail view:

  1. Bella a stunning interpretation, it is not easy to get a vertical orientation in a square. Bravo

Lovely piece and a great continuation from the first one and so true to O’Keeffe’s style. Well done.

  3. Chantal Guillermet

The idea of the close-up of the heart of the flower is very well treated ! and in harmony with Georgia O’Keffe’s style and colours! Bravo !

  4. I love how you took a detail of your first quilt for this second one and used the same beautiful colours. It is really inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe. Bravo.

Like Georgia I like the way your are zooming in on the flower, bringing it to look like an abstraction piece. Beautiful!

What can I say, your work is beautiful. Now I wonder how your next piece will look like.

  7. Stunning focus on the innermost part of the hibiscus. Beautiful colors and great stitching. Very well done!!

The colours and detail in your quilt are perfect and give a real feel of looking at the leaf up close. Well done

  9. A dramatic representation of the inner parts of the flower. The colours and fabrics are bold and are enhanced by the stitching.
